*Puts brief case down on the table and takes off glasses very seriously* “So about that AU we discussed that one time.”
#when you really think about it #the only person who really knows what dean went through in hell #is chuck #and if you argue that chuck is god #then #ouch #because #that’s god looking at dean like that #he looks so guilty and haunted #he made one of his own creations be tortured #and made him torture too #and all because it was written#when it didn’t have to be
#i have a head canon that Chuck completely knew who Dean and Sam were as soon as he opened his front door#he has seen them#and if he is god he would know#and so he felt so guilty that he couldn’t face them#that he didn’t want it all to be true#so he tried to send them away and go back into his house to hide#because he is just as tortured as all of us having to deal with being the one who has to make these bad things happen#poor chuck#supernatural
For someone with a god-complex who is also a writer, I understand Chuck. I mean, how many times we writers torture our characters. How many times we make them go throuugh horrible paths, just because it fits the story? How many times did we torture a character just so the plot could move on?
Writers don’t want to meet their characters. Because how do you explain them that it was you who put them through such pain? How do you explain them that you never meant to harm them but that you did? You may have enjoy it, you may have cried while you wrote it, but the end result is the same.
It was you who made them go through such paths.
We all like to believe that we are just narrating wha happens, that we don’t control it, not really. And even if we don’t it doesn’t matter. We know that we have the power in our hands to write for our characters happy things or tragedies. And if our characters were real we’d all like to write them happy moments.
But then, where’s the poetry in that…
horses are so fucking scary i cant believe at some point a human looked at a horse and was like im going to sit on that horrifying beast while it goes fast. you fool
